‘Exercise and fitness should be regarded as a tribute to a healthy heart and mind.’
Keeping in view the holistic development of children and to make them physically proactive and emotionally strong, the FIT India school week (programme) was organised from 21.11.2019 to 27.11.2019 in the school. Various activities to encourage a ‘healthy lifestyle’ were held to enhance physical and mental fitness. The event commenced with yoga for all in the morning assembly and other activities for fitness and nutrition for all. Activities like freehand exercise, aerobics etc were also organised to instil in students the idea to adopt fitness as a way of life. A poster making contest for all students on the theme of ‘FIT BODY-FIT MIND-FIT ENVIRONMENT’ also marked the proceedings of the week. Several other activities like Essay competition, rope skipping and skit were also an interesting part of the week. The sports quiz tested the general awareness of the students in field of sports. Overall, the activities held during the whole week fulfilled the aim to make everyone physically proactive and fit to face life with optimum energy and positivity.
