1. World Health Day:

“Being healthy and fit should be a life style.”

With this as the motto the school celebrated the school World Health Day on 7th April. Inter-House speech and poster making competitions were held to create awareness about the need to stay healthy by exercising and eating healthy food. 

2. World Earth Day:

“Earth is the God’s best gift to us…… Let us take care of it.”

This was the sprit inculcated among the students as the school celebrated world Earth Day. Each class planted saplings and pledged to take initiatives to protect the earth creative and thought provoking posters designed by students in the Inter-House Poster Making Competition were also displayed to spread the message. 

3. Population Day: 

“Control the Population, save the planet.”

The message of having population control was spread through Inter- House Speech Competition where the speakers emphasised on the need to control the population for a better planet, on the occasion of world population day on 11th July. 

4. Kargil Diwas- 26th July:

“It is the cause, not the death that makes the martys.”

For the school that is the proud Alma mater of a Kargil Martyr, Param Veer Chakra Awardee Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey Kargil Diwas, held a special significance. Students paid homage to the martyrs through small skits, group songs and speech, on 26th July 2018. 

5. Quit India Movement:

“Freedom is my birth right and I shall have it.”

It was this spirit at our freedom fighters that resulted in the ouster of the Britishers to commemorate the Quit India Movement Inter- House Speech and Slogan Writing Competitions were held in the school, on 9th August. The speakers highlighted the role played by the movement in our freedom struggle. 

6. Independence Day:

“Let us cherish the freedom for which many laid their lives.”


Freedom was culmination of the efforts of a large number of freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives so that we could breathe in the air of freedom 15th August is the day to remember the struggle for freedom and rejoice. After the ceremonial Flag hoisting various activities like Group Songs, dance, speech, poem recitation etc. allowed the students to express their feelings for the glory of the country and pay homage to all those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. 

7. Hindi Diwas: 

“Hindi is the mark of our identity, its respect should be the first priority.”

To sensitise students about the importance of Hindi, Hindi Diwas was celebrated on 14th September 2018, with great enthusiasm and zeal. In this regard various activities like Essay Writing, Poem recitation, Speech and Debate competitions were held throughout the day. Biographic of various Hindi writers were presented in the form at speech. 

8. World Ozone day:

“We have not inherited this planet from our ancestors but borrowed it from the next generation.”

This was the spirit with which world ozone day was celebrated on 16th September. The students showcased their desire to protect the ozone layer through their oratory skills in the Inter-House Speech Competitions and their creative skills in the Inter-House Poster making competition. 

9. National Unity Day:

“Unity and Harmony are the keynotes to development of any nation.” 

With this spirit, CBSE has planned mass activities across the country involving students of all the classes.A plethora of activities were held in Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School, Sec-14 Vikas Nagar, Lucknow to mark Birth Anniversary of SardarVallabhbhai Patel on 31st October. In Morning Assemblystudents took RashtriyaEktaDiwas Pledge. Maximum participation of students depicted their interest in harmonious contribution and awareness regarding making India unified nation. Energetic & dynamic children participated in various other contests like poster making/debate/jingle/essay writing and Quiz . This combined effort proved a milestone in infusing budding children with a great feeling of love for one and all. 

10. Vigilance Awareness Week 29th Oct- 3rd Nov:

“Eradicate corruption and build a new India.”

Corruption is a malice that affects all strata of the society in some way or the other, thus an urgent need to uproot it from the country with this in spirit, C.B.S.E. initiated Vigilance Awareness week was celebrated in the school from 29th October – 3rd November. 

Following activities were held throughout the week:
a. Integrity Pledge was taken by the students and teachers.
b. Inter-House Essay Writing Competition on Corruption affects Economic Growth of country and affects life of the students.
c. Inter- House slogan writing competition.
d. Inter- House Speech Competition Eradicate corruption and build a new India.
